PEKOMP Kompensatorenbau GmbH was founded in 1982 by Wolfgang Weller with the aim to develop and manufacture innovative all-inclusive solutions in the emerging field of non-asbestos fabric expansion joints to system-specific requirements. The years of experience of senior employees in plant construction, coupled with knowledge of technical fabrics and their application possibilities produced a creative team that could very quickly make a good name for itself in the market.

 

In 1986 the ever-increasing volume of orders and the consistent further development and expansion of the production range required a move to much larger production facilities. Here, the steel parts production operations could be joined in order to meet the customer demand for turnkey deliveries. Further expansion in 1991 now allows us to also manufacture soft PVC expansion joints.  In the summer of 1998, new manufacturing facilities with an adjoining office building were purchased in Wegberg at Mönchengladbach, which are tailored to the specific requirements of a manufacturer of expansion joints. Here PEKOMP manufactures fabric expansion joints from a wide range of technical fabrics, films, rubber (elastomer) and flexible PVC grades.
